How to Get the Wildseed Cradle Flying Mount

Last Reviewed: October 1, 2021 by Archdruid Andoris 2 Comments

A quick guide to earning the Ardenweld cradle mount in World of Warcraft

The Wildseed Cradle is a guaranteed drop from a chest called the Cache of the Moon in Ardenweld. Unlocking it involves a short scavenger hunt that should only take a couple of minutes if you know where to look. In this guide, I want to show you where you can find each of the scavenger hunt items to help you get your very own Wildseed Cradle mount!

How to get Cache of the Moon

You can open the Cache of the Moon by first collecting 5 items in the Garden of Night (west of Heart of the Forest). Once you have all of them, you can right-click on one of them to create a new item called Twinklestar’s Gardening Toolkit. With the toolkit in hand, you just need to return it to Twinklestar to make the Cache of the Moon appear.

The 5 items you need for the toolkit include:

  • Gardener’s Basket
  • Gardener’s Hammer
  • Diary of the Night
  • Gardener’s Flute
  • Gardener’s Wand

Where are the toolkit items located?

As mentioned, all of the items needed for the toolkit can be found in the Garden of Night. If you download the HandyNotes and HandyNotes Shadowlands addons, you can actually open your world map and left-click on the Cache of the Moon icon to show blue spots indicating the location of each item.

Here is a quick glance at where you can find each one:

Unfortunately, knowing where they are at generally on the map only helps so much. Since it is a scavenger hunt, the developers did place some of the items in spots where they can be hard to see at first. To help you out, I took screenshots for the location of each item and outlined them in the image.

Let’s take a closer look.

1. Gardener’s Basket (/way 40.32, 52.62)

You can find the Gardener’s Basket nestled into a little groove near the well/fountain at the north end of the Garden of Night. It blends into the terrain pretty well so you have to look pretty close to find it.

2. Gardener’s Hammer (/way 39.76, 54.39)

The Gardener’s Hammer can be found hanging out in the bed of a broken-down wagon. You can find the wagon pretty close to two waterfalls that flow down from the fountain where you picked up the basket.

3. Diary of the Night (/way 39.03, 56.98 – on a tree platform)

This one is a little tricky to find at first, especially if you haven’t unlocked Shadowlands flying. If you have flying you can go to the waypoint on the top platform of the tree. Without flying, you will need to take the ramp that starts near the broken wagon to collect the Diary of the Night.

4. Gardner’s Flute (/way 38.50, 58.07)

Not sure what type of gardening this lady is doing… but apparently she needs a flute to do it.  You can find the Gardner’s Flute in the middle of a Sicklethorn Slicer dance party near two large wildseeds.

5. Gardner’s Wand (/way 38.88, 60.11)

With those four collected, it is time to collect the last (and most important) tool in our gardener’s kit, a magic wand. The Gardner’s Wand is tucked under the edge of a wagon guarded by another Sicklethorn Slicer, collect it to complete the set!

Collecting the Wildseed Cradle mount

Once you have each piece from the scavenger hunt, simply right-click on one of them to make the toolkit. From there, make your way to Tirna Vaal in the north-eastern-ish corner of Ardenweld.

You can find Twinklestar, the gardener, near the coordinates 63.90 37.53 near the flight path.

Talk to her to return her stuff and then collect your mount from the chest that appears nearby!
